Alessandro is a maritime engineer and worked in shipping and commodities finance before approaching the novel ingredient sector. His passion for ocean protection led him to set up a biotech with the objective of reproducing fishmeal, the most wanted protein in aquaculture. Thanks to Ocean Twist's achievements, Alessandro joined the Forbes Under 30 list of Europe for social impact.
