John Holmyard has farmed mussels for 40 years at the head of a family-run business, firstly in Scotland and now in the English Channel developing the UK's first fully offshore, large scale rope grown mussel farm. John's belief in both the sustainability and scalability of offshore mussel farming to produce large volumes of high quality, nutritious seafood, is confirmed by 11 years of research by Plymouth University scientists. Their results confirm the farms multiple ecosystem services and its regenerative capacity.
