As Chief Executive of the UK Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas), Neil leads world-class marine and freshwater science in the UK and internationally. He works with partners and governments worldwide to strengthen food security, restore the marine environment and support economic growth. His responsibilities include supporting safe and sustainable fishing, aquaculture and seafood industries; tackling climate change; enabling nature recovery; and reducing pollution through providing robust science, evidence and advice.
