Nicholas Röhl
Nicholas co-founded Fishlove, the celebrated photographic campaign that brought over 150 world-famous figures together to fight overfishing in Europe — contributing to the recovery of Mediterranean bluefin tuna, the passage of EU legislation against overfishing, and the creation of vast marine reserves on the high seas. He has now co-founded Echinomed Restorative Seafoods alongside scientists at the University of Rome, applying breakthrough aquaculture technology to save threatened Mediterranean species — including sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and the critically endangered fan mussel — while building a commercially viable business.
