Sarah Holmyard
Sarah Holmyard is a senior leader in the UK and international shellfish sector, with over 20 years’ experience spanning fisheries, aquaculture, marketing, and sustainability. She is Commercial Director of Offshore Shellfish Ltd, the UK’s first large-scale offshore mussel farm, where she works at the intersection of offshore production, commercial strategy, and the development of scalable, low-impact blue food systems.
Alongside her commercial role, Sarah is a Trustee of the Marine Biological Association and holds a number of governance and advisory positions, including Board Director of Seafish, Director of UK Women in Fisheries, and member of the Devon & Severn IFCA. These roles reflect her commitment to evidence-based marine management, cross-sector collaboration, and inclusive leadership across the seafood industry.
Sarah is recognised for her clear, science-informed communication and practical approach, and is particularly passionate about offshore aquaculture innovation, the role of shellfish in sustainable food systems, and supporting the next generation of leaders in the blue economy.
