Tina is a co-founder of Meros Consulting and the head of the company's European office. Meros was established in 2016 by four international co-founders, with headquarters in Tokyo to support innovative businesses and sustainable solutions across the global food, agriculture, ocean and energy sectors. Tina has nearly 20 years of experience in research and problem solving related to global agri-food and seafood trade, market expansion and investment. She and her team work with agribusinesses, investors, entrepreneurs and governments to identify emerging opportunities, evaluate potential partners and bring the next generation of technologies, innovations and products to markets in Asia and the world. She holds a PhD in food anthropology from Kyoto University's Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies. As an anthropologist, Tina is always about the ways food shapes cultures, identities, and economies. She explores how culinary traditions evolve, how new food technologies impact societies, and how innovation - from farm to table - can create more sustainable and transparent food systems.
