Regal Springs is the world's largest vertically integrated producer of tilapia, operating its state-of-the-art fish farms in lakes in Mexico, Honduras and Lake Toba in Indonesia. The company was founded in 1988 and prioritises sustainability and quality. "We fulfil the strictest standards in terms of feeding, maintaining water quality and processing and have ASC and BAP certifications," says Petra Weigl, General Manager Regal Springs Europe. In addition, Regal Springs pursues a zero fish waste policy, which means that 100 per cent of the fish is utilised. The company is involved in numerous social projects such as building schools in its fishing communities or free educational programmes for employees.
