Hungary has established a legal framework for drone-applied plant protection, becoming one of the first EU countries to do so, according to SynTech Research Group. This framework, under Nébih’s Decree 44/2005, details conditions for drone use in agriculture, requiring proof of advantages over ground methods, certified operators, and approved products. SynTech's trials showed that drone-deployed biological controls could meet these regulations, offering a sustainable alternative for pest management in maize.
